Coach Kara is in her first season as the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Goucher College. Phoubandith comes to Goucher after graduating from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland in 2019 and she was a four-year letterwinner on the Blazers women's lacrosse team. The Frederick native, posted 142 goals and 30 assists for 172 points in her four years to leave as the program's all-time career point leader and rank second in career goals. The two-time captain registered at least 37 goals in her final three seasons including a career-best 40 tallies in her sophomore campaign. In her senior year, she helped Hood set program records for wins, goals, assists, points and caused turnovers while she was named a MAC honorable mention in 2017.

She has served as the Head Coach of Renegades 2024 for the last two years and spent two years as an Assistant Coach for the 2020 team. Phoubandith prepared practice and game plans, provided 1-on-1 training sessions and scheduled practices and scrimmages. She is also the Social Media Director for the club. 

Coach Kara will be pursuing her Masters in Education with a concentration in Athletic Program Leadership at Goucher.
